Those who have seen him previously in Bognor can vouch for the fact no other live performer combines his mixture of music and humour. Richard delivers his home-made songs with a panache and style which has seen him collect a Gold Award from the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters.

That was recognition of his appeal to all age groups through his songs, poems, stories and audience sing-songs.

More of the same is promised for his return appearance at the Regis Centre. Accompanied by just his guitar, an evening of entertainment which marries performance and songs like no other is in prospect.

Richard's enduring popularity has enabled him to survive all the showbusiness trends of the past four decades. But his talents also extend away from the stage.

His latest comedic novel is set to be published next year and he is one of the most frequent guests on Channel 4's longest-running show, Countdown.
